Płock Signs Five-Year Hydrogen Supply Agreement with Orlen for Bus Fleet
Płock has signed a five-year agreement with Orlen SA to supply hydrogen for its future hydrogen bus fleet. Orlen will provide 360 kg of hydrogen daily, enough for 18 buses, with potential expansion to 27 buses.
The total hydrogen delivery over the contract period is 400,000 kg, with an option to increase to 550,000 kg. The contract is valued at PLN 24.1 million, with deliveries commencing in mid-2026 when the first hydrogen buses are expected on the streets.
A hydrogen refueling station on Łukasiewicza Street will be operational 24/7 and integrated with the existing Orlen station. Additionally, since late 2023, KMP Płock has conducted tests on various hydrogen bus models to assess their performance, confirming the feasibility of hydrogen vehicles for regular services in Płock.
