HYDROGENAMMONIA
Pohang City has been designated as South Korea's first 'Distributed Energy Specialized Zone' to develop a clean energy system for local industries, following a review by the Energy Committee. The initiative includes the 'Green Ammonia-Based Carbon-Free Distributed Energy Demonstration Project,' which will establish a hydrogen engine power generation facility capable of producing 40MW of carbon-free electricity for local businesses, including secondary battery companies. This project, led by a consortium of GS E&C, Amoji, and HD Hyundai Infracore, aims to enhance the competitiveness of Pohang's industries in light of global carbon regulations.
