The Polystyrene Recycling Alliance has teamed up with R3vira to enhance polystyrene recycling in Mexico City by expanding collection infrastructure and increasing post-consumer recovery. R3vira plans to double its micro-route collection system by 2026, supported by investments from the Alliance to improve operational capacity and workforce development. The initiative aims to integrate polystyrene into circular material flows in North America, with recovered materials processed into FDA-compliant recycled resin for new packaging.
