WIND ENERGY

The Port of Tyne has received a 435-ton mock monopile, enhancing safety and expertise for offshore wind projects led by Orsted. This installation supports operations for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm, which signed a lease for 100,000 square meters of land at the port.

The mock monopile facilitates training for contractors and reduces operational risks. Port of Tyne aims to attract more investments in renewable energy, highlighting the region’s commitment to clean energy and job creation.
