Portugal and Spain Collaborate with France on European Energy Interconnections
HYDROGEN
Portugal and Spain have committed to jointly engage with France in discussions regarding energy interconnections, emphasizing that this matter is a broader European concern rather than solely an Iberian issue. Environment ministers from both countries highlighted the importance of enhancing energy connections to facilitate a more efficient European energy market.
They plan to advocate for these interconnections in talks with the European Commission. Current initiatives include a project to improve interconnection capacity and the construction of a gas pipeline between Spain and France, as well as transport links for green hydrogen.
