Research agency Dutch New Energy Research reports that approximately 550 MW of solar systems under 1 MW capacity were installed in the Netherlands during the first half of 2023. While the solar market faces challenges due to political instability and declining sales in residential and commercial sectors, subsidies continue to support large-scale projects. The country is urged to accelerate decarbonization efforts across all energy sectors to achieve long-term climate targets.
