Pulse Clean Energy Launches 30MW Battery Storage System in Lancashire
ENERGY STORAGE
Pulse Clean Energy has launched a 30MW/60MWh battery storage system in Charnock Richard, Lancashire, marking its eighth operational project since 2023. The facility, built on a former scrapyard, enhances grid stability by absorbing surplus electricity and can power over 65,000 homes for an hour while preventing approximately 2,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. This initiative is part of a £220 million green debt deal aimed at achieving over 2GWh of installed capacity in the UK by 2030.
