Ras Al Khaimah Signs $300 Million PPP Agreement for Wastewater Treatment Plant Development

Ras Al Khaimah has signed a $300 million public-private partnership agreement with the EWE-SAUR-TAQA consortium to develop a wastewater treatment plant with an initial capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day, expandable to 150,000 cubic meters. This project aims to enhance the emirate's wastewater infrastructure for a population of 300,000 and aligns with UAE sustainability goals, promoting public health and economic resilience. Construction will commence following financial close and detailed engineering.
