Reinova, in collaboration with A&C Ecotech and BTS & Saker, has launched Italy's first integrated lithium-ion battery recycling hub in Soliera, Modena, aimed at managing the lifecycle of large batteries, especially those from electric vehicles and data centers. Although the facility is operational, Italy is working to align its legislation with the EU's 2023 battery recycling directive, which includes new requirements for hazardous waste management. Reinova plans to expand its initiative by creating additional micro-hubs across Italy and Europe, with a goal to replicate its Polish facility by 2028-2029.
