RenewCred, an Indian climate-technology company, has secured ₹4.15 crore in seed funding to develop a digital carbon credit standard and registry for the voluntary carbon market. Led by Campus Angels Network, the funding will help RenewCred address trust and verification issues in carbon markets, with plans to issue its first carbon credits this quarter, aiming to eliminate 2.0 gigatons of greenhouse gas emissions over the next 14 years.
