rePLANET has launched a carbon storage project in Costa Rica in partnership with a major fruit company and biomass burial expert Nature Focus. The initiative aims to sequester 10,000 tonnes of woody biomass underground, ensuring carbon storage for 200 years while addressing high-carbon waste from agroforestry. Additionally, 15% of the land will be restored to natural habitats, promoting biodiversity and generating carbon credit income to support wildlife corridors.
