Rocket Lab Launches Two Open Cosmos Satellites in First Electron Mission of 2026

Rocket Lab USA Inc. successfully launched its first Electron rocket of 2026 on January 22, deploying two Open Cosmos satellites into a 1,050 km circular Earth orbit. This mission, named 'The Cosmos Will See You Now,' marks Rocket Lab's 80th Electron launch and the initial deployment for Open Cosmos's new low Earth orbit telecom constellation. The company plans to maintain an active launch schedule with additional Electron missions throughout the year.
