Ørsted has laid 51 km of onshore underground cables for the Hornsea 3 project off the Norfolk coast. Restoration efforts have returned two-thirds of the affected farmland to its original state. Senior land and property manager Jack McPherson emphasizes the importance of soil reinstatement to minimize disruption for landowners and maintain crop yields. The reinstatement process, involving careful layering of subsoil and topsoil, aims to complete by autumn this year.
