Ørsted Receives First Monopiles for Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm in the UK

WIND ENERGY

Ørsted has received the first six monopiles for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm at Teesside, UK. The monopiles, weighing 1,670 tonnes and measuring 90 m in length, were transported from Bilbao, Spain.

This marks a significant milestone as the project aims to be the world's largest offshore wind farm, with 197 monopiles planned. Offshore works are set to commence in 2026.
