Water consumers in the City of San Fernando will see a 12% reduction in their water bills due to the removal of the Value Added Tax (VAT), effective in the March 2026 billing cycle. Refunds for VAT collected since November 2025 will also be provided.

This decision, announced by Mayor Vilma Caluag on February 14, 2026, is aimed at providing financial relief to consumers. The City of San Fernando Water District has resumed operations following the suspension of Prime Water Infrastructure Corporation’s business permit due to performance issues.
