The San Juan County Commission discussed the $254 million Sunbelt Solar project, which includes a 100-megawatt solar array and a 50-megawatt battery storage system. The project is expected to create 175 temporary jobs and generate $1.4 million in annual tax revenue.

Additionally, the commission approved San Juan College's request for fiscal oversight on a $5.9 million HVAC upgrade project. A transportation grant application for nearly $2 million for County Road 350 was also supported.
