Saskatchewan's Energy and Resources Minister Chris Beaudry is promoting mining and energy investments in Western Canada during visits to British Columbia and Alberta. His participation in the Western Mining Ministers Summit led to a memorandum of understanding aimed at expediting natural resource projects, while discussions included increasing oil and gas production to 600,000 barrels per day by 2030.
