In 2025, SaskPower's Boundary Dam carbon capture and storage facility successfully captured 721,239 tonnes of CO2, contributing to a total of 7,327,868 tonnes since its 2014 launch. The facility achieved a remarkable 99.3% availability rate in the fourth quarter, with Unit 3 operating at 92.3% availability, while also surpassing sulphuric acid production targets. Emissions intensity was recorded at 296 tonnes of CO2 per gigawatt hour, well below the carbon tax threshold.
