Saudi Arabia's Green Hydrogen Plant Nears Completion at Neom's Oxagon Complex
HYDROGEN
Construction of the world's largest green hydrogen facility at Neom's Oxagon complex in Saudi Arabia is 90% complete, with operations expected to commence by mid-2026. The $8.4 billion project, a collaboration between Neom, Air Products, and ACWA Power, aims to produce up to 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen daily and supports Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative to diversify its economy and lead in renewable energy. Despite some project slowdowns at Neom, the green hydrogen plant remains on schedule to contribute to global decarbonization efforts.
