Shropshire Council has begun construction on a biochar plant at Coder Road Business Park in Ludlow, with initial demolition of a former anaerobic digestion facility. Managed by Biodynamic Carbon Ltd, the project aims to produce around 1,000 tonnes of biochar annually, supporting local climate goals and generating revenue through sales and carbon credits. Completion is expected by the end of February 2026 as part of a broader green growth initiative.
