The Xiaojinchuan River Basin solar power base in Sichuan province has begun connecting its first photovoltaic arrays to the grid, featuring a total capacity of 160 megawatts and an energy storage system of 16 MW/32 MWh. This project, located at an elevation of 3,700 meters, aims to generate 280 million kilowatt-hours annually, enough to power 140,000 households, while significantly reducing coal use and CO2 emissions. Full grid connection is expected by the end of February.
