Singapore to Launch National Space Agency NSAS Under Ministry of Trade and Industry

Singapore will establish the National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS) under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, effective April 1, 2026, to bolster its presence in the growing global space economy. Announced by Minister Tan See Leng, NSAS will focus on research and development, industrial advancement, and international partnerships, with Ngiam Le Na appointed as chief executive. The government has invested over S$200 million since 2022 to support space R&D and aims to strengthen talent and collaborations with entities like the European Space Agency and India’s IN-SPACe.
