Singapore's demand for gas is projected to remain robust, driven by growth in the power and bunkering sectors, according to Leong Wei Hung, CEO of Singapore LNG. The city-state is set to enhance its energy security with plans for a second LNG terminal and ongoing investments in infrastructure.
While 90% of gas is currently allocated to power generation, alternative fuels like ammonia are gaining interest. The establishment of Singapore Gasco aims to centralize gas supply for stability, while the country continues to strengthen its position as a major trading hub for LNG.
