Smulders has been awarded a contract by Chantiers de l'Atlantique to engineer, procure, and construct the jacket foundation for the 600MW Dunkerque offshore wind farm's substation in France. The project, which will be executed at Smulders' Fos-sur-Mer yard, involves collaboration with RTE as the end client and is part of the Eoliennes en Mer de Dunkerque consortium, including EDF Renouvelables and Enbridge.
