Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has launched its net-zero initiative by commissioning the 60 MW SANA solar power plant, aiming to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 20% by 2032. Additionally, SNOC has advanced energy security in the UAE with the rapid production of the Hedebah Gas Field and is exploring natural hydrogen in collaboration with Siemens Energy and Decahydron, with further drilling planned for 2026. Natural gas will continue to serve as a baseload fuel to meet the increasing energy demand in the Northern Emirates.
