South Australia Labor Plans Major Renewable Energy Tender for 11,000 km² Land Area
HYDROGENSOLAR ENERGY
The South Australia Labor government announced plans for a competitive tender for solar, wind, and storage projects, covering over 11,000 km² of land, if re-elected on March 21. The tender aims to enable projects to power more than 500,000 homes and will open for 13 weeks, focusing on feasibility licenses within designated areas.
South Australia leads in renewable energy usage, with a goal of 100% net renewables by 2027. The initiative follows extensive consultations with various stakeholders.
