South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang Provincial Councils Sign MOU for Aerospace Complex City Special Act
On December 17, the South Jeolla Provincial Council and the South Gyeongsang Provincial Council signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the rapid enactment of the "Special Act on the Construction and Support of the Aerospace Complex City." This agreement formalizes collaboration in five areas, including joint proposals to the government and National Assembly, sharing policy data, and establishing the Jeonnam-Gyeongnam Aerospace Industry Belt.
The councils aim to combine South Jeolla's space launch vehicle capabilities with South Gyeongsang's aviation and satellite strengths to create a significant aerospace industry belt along the southern coast. This initiative follows prior agreements between regional governors and National Assembly members, enhancing the momentum for the special law's enactment.
