South Korea is accelerating the commercialization of lithium-metal and all-solid-state batteries, targeting high energy density by 2029. The Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology announced a KRW 130 billion investment to support this initiative during the 2026 International Forum on Next-Generation Secondary Batteries in Seoul.
