South Korea Commissions 100 MW Hanlim Offshore Wind Project in Jeju

South Korea has launched the 100 MW Hanlim offshore wind power complex in Jeju, situated in the waters of Suwon-ri, Hallim-eup. The project is developed and operated by public entities including Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Midland Power, and KEPCO Engineering and Construction.

It utilizes domestically manufactured turbines, substructures, and cables, contributing to the local offshore wind supply chain. Additionally, three nearby villages formed a cooperative, investing USD 20.4 million to secure a 4.7% equity stake in the project.
