South Korea Invests $159M in Semiconductor, Display, and Battery Research Initiatives

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT is investing KRW 235.1 billion (US$159 million) in 27 research projects aimed at boosting competitiveness in the semiconductor, display, and battery sectors. The majority of the funding, KRW 187 billion, will support 18 semiconductor projects, while display technology and battery research will receive KRW 13.9 billion and KRW 34.1 billion, respectively. This initiative seeks to secure essential technologies for global supply chains and foster long-term economic growth.
