South Sumatra Partners with IMS Ecubes for Hydrogen Infrastructure Ahead of 2018 Asian Games

The South Sumatra government has partnered with Norwegian firm IMS Ecubes to establish zero-carbon energy infrastructure for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, which will take place in Jakarta and Palembang. The initiative includes technologies such as solar PV generation, hydrogen storage, fuel cell power generation, and hydrogen fuel cell mobility.

The agreement was announced at the European Utility Week Expo in Barcelona. IMS Ecubes has also formed a joint venture with UK-based Arcola Energy to develop energy solutions for Europe and South Asia. This partnership aims to integrate hydrogen solutions into the global energy mix within a two-year timeframe.
