Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has launched a smart microgrid talent and technology center with NT$105 million in funding, featuring advanced solar capacity, energy storage systems, and hydrogen production capabilities. Designed as a practical teaching environment, the center will enhance regional technical education and prepare students for careers in energy technology by collaborating with six partner schools. Additionally, it includes facilities like a central monitoring command center and smart charging stations, providing backup power for on-campus services during outages.
