Space Force Awards $62.7 Million Contract to L3Harris for Space Surveillance Sensor Upgrades

The U.S. Space Force has contracted L3Harris Technologies for $62.7 million to maintain and upgrade key space surveillance systems, including the AN/FPS-85 Eglin Radar, GEODSS telescopes, and the SST. This contract, part of engineering sustainment year seven, increases the total contract value to $1.5 billion, with completion expected by January 2027.
