Space Forge has launched a microwave-sized factory into orbit to produce semiconductor materials in microgravity, achieving temperatures of around 1000 degrees Celsius. This process could yield semiconductors up to 4000 times cleaner than those made on Earth, with applications in 5G technology and electric vehicles. The company plans to develop a larger factory for mass production and is testing technology for transporting materials back to Earth.
