SPACE ECONOMY
On September 10, 2025, SpaceX launched 21 satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base as part of the U.S. military's new secure communications network. This mission marks the first tranche of a planned constellation of 126 satellites designed to enhance encrypted communication for U.S. forces worldwide.
The satellites will form part of the proliferated warfighter space architecture, utilizing laser communications to extend secure links beyond line of sight. The Falcon 9 rocket's first stage completed its sixth flight, successfully landing on a drone ship after launch.
