SpaceX is set to launch an initial batch of military satellites for the U.S. Space Force from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This mission will deploy the first 21 of 154 satellites in the Tranche 1 constellation, aimed at enhancing military communication and missile defense capabilities.
The launch is scheduled for September 10, with a window opening at 4:58 AM PT. The Falcon 9 rocket's booster will attempt to land on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean to facilitate future reuse.
