Spain has introduced the €50 million RENOCogen program to promote biogas and cogeneration projects as part of its transition to renewable energy. Funded by the EU's NextGeneration Recovery Fund, the initiative offers grants covering up to 65% of project costs, aiming to reduce emissions and enhance the clean technology sector. Applications are open from January 26 to March 2, with a goal of achieving 20 TWh of biogas production by 2030.
