Spain Mandates Low-Emission Zones; Drivers Must Obtain Environmental Labels

HYDROGEN

Spain's cities are implementing Low Emission Zones (ZBEs) by 2023 to reduce air pollution. Drivers must acquire environmental labels for their vehicles, classified into four categories: Zero Emissions, ECO, B, and A.

Zero Emissions are for electric and hydrogen vehicles, while ECO includes certain hybrids. Vehicles not meeting these standards fall under group A and face restrictions. Stickers can be obtained at local Correos offices or other DGT locations with vehicle registration and ID.
