SRM University-AP has partnered with JK Srivastava Hynfra P.S.A. Ltd to establish a Centre of Excellence for Green Hydrogen Technologies, aiming to position Andhra Pradesh as India's Green Hydrogen Hub by 2030.

The initiative, backed by a ₹35,000 crore investment, will focus on hydrogen storage, transportation, and the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles, with plans to produce 1.5 MMTPA of green hydrogen and create over 10,000 jobs. This collaboration was announced during the Green Hydrogen Summit in July 2025, where SRM University-AP was appointed as the state nodal agency for hydrogen research.
