ST1 Biokraft has inaugurated its flagship biogas facility in Mönsterås, Kalmar County, marking a significant achievement in renewable energy production. The plant, capable of generating around 138 GWh of liquefied biogas annually, will utilize approximately 260,000 tonnes of regional manure.

This facility not only aims to support ST1's goal of producing 3 TWh of biogas by 2030 but also emphasizes circular economy principles by returning high-quality biofertilizers to local agriculture. The project received substantial investment, partly funded by Sweden's environmental protection agency.
