BIOFUELS

Storm Harry has caused extensive damage to Malta's wastewater infrastructure, including the destruction of a sewage pumping station in Marfa and a biogas dome at the Ta' Barkat treatment plant in Xgħajra. Other facilities, such as pumping stations and seawell rooms near a Reverse Osmosis facility in Pembroke, were also impacted. WSC engineers are currently assessing the damage, with repairs set to begin once the sites are deemed safe.
