Tamil Nadu plans to unveil its Shipbuilding Policy aimed at making the state a global shipbuilding hub, supported by an investment of ₹30,000 crore from various firms. The interim budget for 2026-27 allocates ₹4,282 crore to the Industries Department and includes initiatives for MSMEs, such as the Tamil Nadu Semiconductor Mission-2030. Major allocations also support education, social welfare, and cultural infrastructure.
