TAQA Morocco Reports 2.2% Revenue Decline in 2025 Amid Coal Price and Currency Pressures
WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATION
TAQA Morocco's consolidated revenue for 2025 was MAD 10,638 million ($1.06 billion), a 2.2% decrease from 2024. The decline is attributed to maintenance on Unit 6, fluctuating coal prices, and an unfavorable USD/MAD exchange rate.
Despite this, the company maintained a global availability rate of 92.1%. Investments fell to MAD 265 million ($26.5 million), focusing on the Unit 6 overhaul and acquisitions. TAQA Morocco has also expanded its strategic footprint, joining a consortium for a $14 billion investment deal for renewable energy and desalination projects.
