Tata Power Renewable Energy is set to invest ₹6,675 crore in a 10 GW solar ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, to support India's transition to 'Physical AI'. This initiative aims to meet the projected electricity demand of 817 TWh by 2030, with AI workloads contributing significantly to power needs. The facility will also feature a 200 MW captive green power plant and bolster battery storage capacity in India, addressing renewable energy intermittency.
