Táctica Industrial Launches Off-Grid PV System for Green Hydrogen Production
Táctica Industrial has launched an off-grid photovoltaic-to-hydrogen system capable of producing green hydrogen at approximately €400/kW. The system operates without inverters or a grid connection, generating and consuming hydrogen on-site through a photovoltaic plant linked to modular alkaline electrolyzers.
This scalable solution utilizes medium-voltage direct-current microgrids and power-to-gas technologies. The system features a 250 kW electrolyzer module that produces 60 Nm³/h of hydrogen, with a PV plant capacity exceeding 200 MW.
An innovative control architecture monitors operating parameters individually, allowing for independent load adjustments. The design supports various configurations, enhancing adaptability to renewable output variations while reducing production and maintenance costs. The technology is validated at small scale and market-ready, with potential applications in synthetic fuels like ammonia.
