Teréga and HyLight Conduct Hydrogen-Powered Dirigible Tests for Pipeline Monitoring in France
HYDROGENFUEL CELL
Teréga and HyLight are testing a helium-inflated dirigible, the HyLighter, for pipeline monitoring in France. This initiative focuses on the 107 km Cazilhac-Narbonne-Claira section and aims to comply with systematic leak detection regulations.
Six bimonthly overflights are planned for 2026, pending regulatory approval. The project assesses the dirigible's operational capabilities and environmental benefits, as it operates at low altitudes with reduced noise and zero emissions.
