TerraForm Power has acquired the Steward Creek Solar project from Hexagon Energy, located in Lee County, Illinois. The project has a capacity of 1.56 GWdc (1.2 GWac) and includes a 600 MW interconnection agreement within the PJM market.

Construction is planned in two phases, starting in 2027 and 2028, with operations beginning in 2029 and 2030, respectively. The project design includes potential for a 150 MW battery storage system, contributing to TerraForm's pipeline of 7 GW of solar and storage projects.
