Tetra Pak Southern Africa has announced a 33% post-consumer carton collection rate and a 31% recycling rate for liquid board packaging in 2025. This marks an increase from 24% in 2024, attributed to investments and partnerships aimed at enhancing recycling infrastructure.

The company invested nearly R100 million, including R17 million in 2025, to support these efforts. Collaborations with Petco and recyclers like Mpact and Gayatri Paper Mills have expanded collection networks significantly, contributing to the overall progress toward 2030 sustainability goals.
