Thailand Increases Funding for Green Energy R&D to Support Hydrogen Initiatives
HYDROGEN
Thailand is increasing funding for research and development in hydrogen energy to support its goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The Energy Conservation Fund, financed by a fuel levy, will allocate resources to various projects, including a green hydrogen study at Kasetsart University that produces hydrogen through solar-powered electrolysis. Officials highlight the importance of hydrogen in diversifying energy sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels during the country's energy transition.
