Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has launched the G-Spider, an AI-powered robotic canal cleaner, at the Amayizhanchan Canal to enhance sanitation safety and eliminate manual scavenging. Developed in collaboration with Genrobotic Innovations, the initiative aims to address safety concerns in high-risk areas, following incidents involving sanitation workers. The project also includes plans for several compressed biogas plants for improved waste management.
